My body's still adjusting to the new timezone. Add the fact of the recent DST, yes, I'm fcuked up.
My boyfriend and I had our first online conversation earlier after weeks of being together. Earlier = 4AM. What is jet lag? Haha. I slept around 6AM and was woken up by my Mom's voice, asking me to get out of bed so we can leave early for the buffet.
Anyways, enough about that. I've been updating myself with all the blogs, episodes of TV shows I missed while I was away and having fun in the Philippines. Now I'm back on regular programming.
The morning after my arrival on 15Feb2012, we headed to the airport to start our Boracay getaway. 16-20Feb2012. 5days4nights of fun and adventure with Tracy's barkada as we celebrated his birthday on the island.
Heavy rain and loud thunder accompanied us at the airport as we waited for our boarding call. An hour and a half delayed flight later, we were on our way to the paradise island.
After an hour and a half van ride to Caticlan, we finally made it to our homey hotel, La Bella Casa de Boracay in Station 1. (Since summer is already near, go check out the site and book your reservation now! Oha! Plugging!)
I had a little surprise for Tracy that night, but thanks for that little phone call that blew it off. Nevertheless, he was still surprised :)
I was knocked out after dinner. Jet lag + hangover from the night before combination got the best of me. It was raining that night, so the boys decided to stay home and drink, while the others went out.
The sun was still hiding behind the clouds the next day. A little sprinkle on the mid day, but he surprised us by coming out in the afternoon. Imagine our excitement when we saw his sun rays glaring on our glasses.
So, to lighten up their mood, we went out to have a reggae beachy vibe at BomBom Bar in Station 2 where we had rounds of beers and cocktails. Then capped the night off by dancing at the Paraw Club.
Activity day is next! Early grindin' with the gang for island hopping. We stopped by at the Shangri-La beach front for a beach volley game, snorkeling and swimming, and lunch. Then off to Puca beach for some photos and videos.
Tracy told me that he'd take me out on a date that night. One dinner date, just the two of us. Guess what happened? I overslept. He woke me up a couple of times, until he got fed up and went out to eat dinner by himself and then met with the boys after. While I, on the other hand, had dinner with my friend and got a little too tipsy with that pitcher of Weng-weng. The boyfriend was nice enough to hold my hair while I puke my guts out in the bathroom that night.
Another day spent at the beach. Building sand names, swimming and skim boarding. Afternoon was pasalubong buying time at D'Talipapa.
Morning of departure. Boracay is such a nice place to relax and have fun with friends and family. Although a lot of establishments have been sprouting like mushrooms, I still think that it's magnificent beach line and powder like sand are still the key to this beautiful island.
A photo heavy entry, but I enjoyed looking through the albums again. I can't believe that it has been almost a month since I was in the Philippines.
Next entry: ILOCOS and VIGAN :)
